Über uns

Fotografie ist unser Anteil daran, die Schönheit der Natur zu präsentieren. Den Schwerpunkt unserer Bemühungen legen wir auf die Fauna in Zoos, Wildparks, Aquarien und Terrarien.

Dabei konzentrieren wir uns schwerpunktmäßig auf bedrohten Tierarten. Im Rahmen dessen möchten wir auf das “Manifest für die Menschenaffen und die Natur” aufmerksam machen:

“Die tropischen Regenwälder verschwinden mit einer rasanten Geschwindigkeit und mit ihnen die letzten noch existierenden Menschenaffenpopulationen. Unter Spezialisten ist man sich einig: wenn wir nichts unternehmen, wird es Mitte des 21. Jahrhunderts keine Gorillas, Schimpansen und Bonobos mehr geben. Die Situation der Orang-Utans ist sogar noch dramatischer. Schon in zwanzig Jahren könnten diese nur noch in Zoos anzutreffen sein. Es ist heute dringend notwendig, aktiv zu werden um die Menschenaffen zu retten!”

In 2009 werden wir außerdem neue Wege beschreiten und uns mit der Fotografie des homo sapiens in verschiedenen Facetten beschäftigen – wir werden sehen, was daraus wird ;o) ...

About us

We see photography as our contribution to presenting the beauty of nature.

In doing so we have concentrated a lot of our efforts on fauna found in zoos, wildlife parks, aquaria and terraria. Our photography is primarily concerned with endangered species.

“Tropical forests are disappearing at an excessive speed and with them the last populations of great apes. All specialists are unanimous: if we do nothing gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos will have disappeared by the middle of the 21st century. The situation of orangoutans is even more dramatic; in 20 years time, they might only exist in zoos. Today, it is important to become active in order to stop this Ecocide! We, citizens of the Earth, ask our governments and international authorities to accept as their superior duty to save and protect primates.”

On another note, we plan to break new ground with people photography in 2009 – we’ll see ;o)...
